Hima Das is an Indian athlete who hails from Assam. She entered the world on January 9, 2000, and her stage name is Dhing Express.
Introduction of Hima Das: At the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, she raced the 400-meter dash in 50.79 seconds. She now holds the record for the event on the national level in India. When she won the 100-meter dash at the IAAF World U20 Championships, she became the first Indian athlete to do it. She was elevated to the rank of DSP in the Assam Police in keeping with the state’s Integrated Sport Policy.
The early life of Hima Das
Hima Das was reared by her parents, Ranjit Das and Jonali Das, in the Assamese village of Kandhulimari, not far from the city of Dhing. Her parents are farmers; therefore, they provide for the family. They have four other children, making her the baby of the bunch.

She took and passed the admission examination for Dhing Public High School in fifth grade, and then continued her education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
She had at first considered joining in the football action. Since she first stepped foot on the football field at her JNV school, she has harboured the aspiration of making a livelihood in the sport.
But she thought there were no chances for her to go up in India’s women’s football league. One day, a JNV school PE teacher instructed her to switch from jogging to sprinting.
The career of Hima Das
As 2019 progressed, Das maintained her winning ways by taking first place in the 200-meter event at the Poznan Grand Prix in Poland on July 2, 2019, with a time of 23.65 seconds. She ran the 200 metres in 23.43 seconds on July 13 to win the Kladno Meet in the Czech Republic.
She won the 400-meter event in 52.09 seconds on 20 July 2019 at Nové Mesto, Czech Republic, making it her fifth victory overall and third in a month.
To compete in the 2019 World Championships in Doha, she was selected. However, a month before the event, she was forced to withdraw owing to a back injury that had begun shortly after her participation in the Asian Games the year before.

Das applied for a position with the Assam Public Service Commission’s Direct Entry system on the 27th of February 2021 and was accepted into the programme.
He will be working as a Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Assam Police Service.
