Ganga Dussehra 2023: The day of Ganga Dussehra is considered to be the day of descent of the holy river Ganga on earth. It is believed that Ganga came to earth on this auspicious day. On this day, devotees wake up before sunrise and take a bath in the holy river Ganga. While taking bath, keep chanting ‘Har Har Ganga’. People who are not familiar with taking bath in the river Ganga should add Ganga water to their bath water and take bath. After that worship the Sun God. Also worship Mother Ganga. Donate fruits and clothes among the needy on the day of Ganga Dussehra. By doing this one gets auspicious results.

After taking bath on the day of Ganga Dussehra, go to the temple and anoint the Shivalinga with Ganga water and save some water and bring it home. Sprinkling the entire house with that water removes negativity. With this the problems in getting money end.

If you are troubled by debt, then to overcome this problem, on the day of Ganga Dussehra, take a black thread of your length, wrap it in a coconut and offer it to Shivalinga. After this, pray to Lord Shiva to end your problem. In the evening, float a coconut wrapped in black thread in running water. Don’t look back after streaming. It is believed that by doing this one gets relief from the problem. Debt-related problems go away.

If you are facing obstacles and problems in your job or business for a long time, then take an earthen pot on the day of Ganga Dussehra. Add a few drops of Ganga water and some sugar in it. Now fill the pitcher with water and donate it to a poor or needy person. According to astrology, by doing this the obstacles in the job get eliminated.

According to Hindu mythology, King Bhagiratha sought to purify the souls of his ancestors and grant them salvation. However, when they approached Lord Brahma for assistance, Brahma instructed them to pray to Lord Shiva, explaining that bringing the mighty Ganga to earth was a formidable task.
