Delhi-NCR Weather Update: With the arrival of winter, a blanket of smog has started appearing in many cities of Delhi-NCR and UP. The air quality has become very poor. Poisonous elements have started dissolving in the air.
The air in the country’s capital New Delhi is continuously becoming poisonous. As winter is approaching, the level of pollution is also increasing. According to experts, if the wind direction in Delhi is not North West then the next 20 days are going to be critical in Delhi. In some areas of Delhi, the air quality index is in the severe category while in some areas it has reached the very poor category.

Meanwhile today i.e. November 02, 2023, AQI 404 was recorded in Anand Vihar area around 07 am. Whereas, AQI 340 was recorded in Burari area. AQI 332 was recorded at IGI Airport. Whereas, AQI 395 was recorded in Bawana. Apart from this, if we talk about Noida, AQI 342 was recorded in Sector 62 area and AQI 216 was recorded in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad.

According to the information given by SAFAR, Delhi’s air quality is again in the “hazardous” category. AQI reached 616 in Mundka, Delhi. The air quality is becoming hazardous in the entire NCR. The AQI is increasing at hot spots in Delhi, regarding which a joint meeting was held with many departments. It was decided in the meeting that if the AQI is recorded more than 400 for a week continuously, then the construction work within a radius of 1 kilometer will be stopped. Also, instructions were issued to provide heaters to guards during night duty in all government departments of Delhi.
