They said Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) T P Sreejith of the Kozhikode District Crime Records Bureau (DCRB) was fired after an investigation report was made public about what happened about two months ago.

Police said the ACP was in charge of the escort team that was taking Rs. 750 crore from the bank’s Mankavu office to Hyderabad by car.

A report against ACP Sreejith says that he wasn’t wearing his uniform or having his service revolver, and he was also driving his own car during the patrol.

According to the officials, the rules set by the Reserve Bank of India for the safe transport of cash by road were broken, and action was taken based on the report.
