International Sloth Day 2024 History

International Sloth Day was established by AIUNAU, an organization to protect all types of wildlife. The staff of AIUNAU has been monitoring sloths since 1996 and they found out how many sloths get killed by cars or power lines every year and no one pays much attention to this wildlife creature.

What AIUNAU does do? They take sloths who are injured and take care of them until they feel good and then let them go back into the woods. The first International Sloth Day was observed in November 2010 on a large scale across the USA to spread the importance of sloths.

International Sloth Day 2024 Significance

International Sloth Day is celebrated every year to teach people more about sloths, their character, and their tenderness for one another. This day also promotes to preservation of these wildlife creature and prevent them from going extinct.
