Introduction of Harshal Patel: Harshal Patel is an op-class bowler who is popular for taking wickets in depth overs, He is known among the highest number of wicket-takers in a tournament of IPL. He was chosen to play with Gujarat U 19 team after he made some good performances in the Academy.

Harshal’s pace was outstanding when he was between the age of 15 – 16 In America Harshal too joined Aggressive Cricket Club and played for New Jersey in 2008. Harshal is one of the players who has taken the maximum number of wickets in an IPL. 

Early Life of Harshal Patel 

Harshal Vikram Patel was born on 23 November 1990 in Sanand Gujarat India. He was born in a Hindu middle-class family to Vikram Patel and Darshan Patel. Harshal used to do bowling as well as batting. His father sent him to Coach Tarak Trivedi Academy where he learned how to play cricket professionally.

Harshal completed his education at Hirani School, Ahmedabad, and HA College of Commerce, Ahmedabad. Later, Harshal with his family shifted to America where for survival Harshal too worked like his family. Harshal used to work in a perfume shop for more than 12 hours a day in America.

The Career of Harshal Patel 

As of his excellent performance, Harshal was selected to play for U 19 Indian Team Cricket. For the Australia U19 Tour, Harshal’s bowling was liked by selectors due to which he got a place in under 15 players to play in a tournament of ICC New Zealand U19 World Cup in 2010. The head of the Haryana Cricket Association Anirudh Chaudhary gave an offer to Harshal to play with the Haryana team. 

On 3rd November 2011, Harshal made his day’s view supporting the Haryana First Class Cricket Team. Quarter and Semifinals were the best matches for Harshal at about back-to-back 8 wickets and proved to the world that he could become a best-known cricketer. In a total of 7 matches, he took 28 wickets in 12 innings with an average of 21.57.

Later Harshal was chosen to play with RCB in IPL, but he did not make such a performance to impress selectors and later was dismissed from the team RCB due to bad form. In 2018 Delhi Capitals tried to trust Harshal Patel but due to some injuries and issues, was not able to come back to his good old form. 

In 2020 at an event of Ranji Trophy Harshal took 52 wickets in 17 innings and 9 matches. Finally, Harshal was selected to play with the Indian International Cricket Team in a Newland T20I format and further he made his debut on 19 November 2021.

Looking at his great performances RCB chose Harshal again in their team where Harshal in a total of 17 matches took 32 wickets, especially in in-depth overs. In the mega auction of 2022, Harshal was booked by RCB with a price of Rs 10 crore and 75 lakhs. 

Achievements of Harshal Patel 

He has won the most wickets for Haryana in the Ranji Trophy while breaking Rajendra Goel’s record of 36 years. Highest Number of Wickets in IPL 2021 for RCB and Joint Highest wicket-taker in any season. Harshal became ma-an of the match in his T20I debut against New Zealand.
