Jawad Ahmad was born into an Indian Kashmiri family and later he with his family shifted to Pakistan after India’s Independence. His parents are both college professors.

Jawad Ahmad is one of the most eminent artists from Pakistan, and he got public attention after his song Allah Meray Dil Kay Ander.
Jawad was very fond of singing and he used to write songs from a younger age. He drew his inspiration from various music artists of Pakistani Music and they are Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, Mehdi Hassan, Ustad Salamat Ali Khan, Tufail Niazi, Hamid Ali Bela, and many others. Jawad became popular initially through his songs which he performed in the music industry
In 2002 Jawad Ahmad was appointed as the ambassador of the Ministry of Health and the UNICEF of Pakistan for the eradication of Polio. He sang different social awareness songs during the year and supported various government schemes such as US aid programs and Anti-drug addiction programs. Jawad Ahmad is running ten schools in the least developed areas of Pakistan under Taleem for all.
Later, Jawad Ahmad entered into politics by launching his own political party ‘Barabari Party’. In the year 2018 in the general elections of Pakistan, Jawad Ahmad contested for the parliamentary seat of NA 131 against the PTI chairman
Jawad Ahmad did host for different Pakistani television shows and also made his performance in a documentary termed Har Dam Tayyar in honor of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He was a lyricist in the movie Moosa Khan in 2001 and also many other movies released in the Pakistani language.
