September 11, 2014 Davie, FL:  The Town of Davie wants its residents to be aware that giant African land snails were found in the vicinity of S.W. 21st Street and S.W. 136 Avenue in western Davie. Inspectors from the Florida Department of Agriculture have visited the site and caught a dozen African land snails.
