Steamy With Maybe a Shower

image4 image5By Donna Thomas, Meteorologist, June 18, 2015 – South Florida’s unusually dry June continues on Thursday with steamy conditions but just a chance of an early shower. Look for hot sun, clouds, and highs near 90 degrees. That pattern continues from Friday through Sunday, with 90 degree highs and just a few quick showers in spots. A few isolated afternoon storms are in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday, and highs will creep into the low 90s.

Tropical Depression Bill continues to dump up to 8 inches of rain as it moves northward. At 5 am Monday, Bill was centered about 80 miles southeast of Oklahoma City and was moving north-northeast at 10 miles per hour. With winds of 25 miles per hour, Bill still has a well defined circulation for a tropical system so far inland. Flooding is a serious threat for eastern Oklahoma and Texas, as well as parts of Arkansas and Missouri.
