By Donna Thomas, EyesOnNews.com Meteorologist, June 12, 2015 – South Florida will be hazy on Friday, thanks to Saharan dust, and our summerlike steaminess continues. Look for hot sun, hazy skies, some clouds and maybe a quick shower on a building ocean breeze, a moderate risk of dangerous rip currents at the beaches, and highs in the sticky upper 80s (even though it will feel about 10 degrees hotter).
The haze will linger into Saturday, as ocean breezes build, some scattered showers blow in, and highs reach the upper 80s. The risk of rip currents will increase and last through the weekend and beyond.
Sunday will see the return of blue skies and a few more showers on the ocean breeze, and highs will be in the upper 80s again.
That pattern will last through Monday, when the breeze will begin to slacken. Tuesday and Wednesday will see the return of scattered afternoon storms, and highs will be near 90 degrees.
